US History - Assessment Retake Procedures
Directions:
You have the opportunity to earn 1/2 point credit back for each point that you miss on Learning Target Quizzes and Unit Exams by doing test corrections on the items that you missed.

- You have ONE week from the time the graded test was passed back to do corrections and retake the assessment.
- In order to be eligible to do test corrections for Learning Targets Quizzes, you must complete ALL homework assignments leading up to the Learning Targets Quiz that covers that respective content. All assignments must be fully completed and submitted into CANVAS on time. All assignments must be fully completed and submitted into CANVAS on time.
- In order to be eligible to do test corrections on Unit Exams, you must complete ALL homework assignments that were assigned for that particular Unit.
- Make all corrections by answering the questions below. Corrections must be done in class, or before/after school. CORRECTIONS MAY NOT BE DONE AT HOME.
- What is the correct answer?
- Why did you get the question wrong?
- Why is your corrected answer the correct answer?
- Cite the page number and section from the text where you found the information to help you correct the question
- Quote a specific passage that contains clues to the correct answer and explain how quoted passage supports the answer.
- After you have completed the corrections you will be reassessed assuming the corrections are done accurately. The format of the retake will be at the teacher’s discretion, however, students should come ready to fully explain the information from their corrections to prove they have a sound understanding of the concepts and knowledge.
